| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 10, 2007 This poured a very clear and attractive deep amber-brown color with fat and foamy white head that left moderate lacing rings in the glass. Nose was of malts, caramel, fruits, and mild hops. Mouthfeel was very riich and flavors mostly malts and fruit. The alcohol was hiden nicely, and the finish was mediium to long. Great beer. Not sure how I missed this on up to now. Bart (1662), Brussels, Belgium

Medium body, sweet alcoholic with some carbonation and light roasted. Finish is in the beginning quiet flat, but than, a haevy trouht-warming alcoholic ending, somewhat sweet-bitter.Heavy, strange but nice. GG (1660), NorCal, California, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 17, 2006 Being this my first eisbock style of beer, I will rate it on a hedonistic scale rather than by style. The aroma was very sweet smelling, almost like a sherry or a bourbon. There was also some cherries there and the obvious maltiness there. The appearance is a dark amber color, creamy looking head which melted pretty quickly. Mouthfeel is thick (thought not cloying) and slightly syrupy. Flavors had a prominent alcohol bite to it, which was pretty nice actually. There was also a honey sweetness present, some light fruit like apples or pears and a bit woodyness there too. Overall, this is a one-shot deal. You’d be hard pressed to drink more than one of these, so this is a winter time sipper if there ever was one. I did like the sweetness and the alcohol bite. Cozy up to a fire, your honey, a good movie and a good night would sure to had. douglas88 (1659), Salt Lake City, Utah, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 22, 2008 Bottle thanks to footbalm. Pours a clear and dark amber with a thin white head. The aroma is very nice; tons of fruit, alcohol, rich malt and syrup. The taste is very smooth and nice; a rich fruit aspect, sweet candy, a toasted malt, and overall a pervasive warmth that I enjoyed. Very nice. Styles (1653), Lincoln Park, Michigan, USA
| 1.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 2/10 | 2/5 | 3/20 | Mar 15, 2005 Bartender warned me about this beer but tried it anyway. To me this taste like a pound of sugar inside a 12oz bottle, and for the most part I like the sweeter beers. This was just way too much though.
