Commercial Description:
This world-famous beer has the character and richness to stand in for fine sherry or port. Just the right degree of sweetness - never cloying; wonderfully aromatic and warming. EKU 28 is the one whenever something good and strong is needed.

In agreeing with many of the other tasters, I’d say that this beer is too overpowering. Extremely warming and unfinishable.

Big malts, very sweet, but with a potent alcoholic finish that somewhat detracts from the beer.

A very cloying orange coloured beer. Little carbonation. Loads of sweet malt flavors, with a slight burnt character. A strong alcoholic kick on the finish. Not really my style at all.

A nice malty aroma but very little hop. Pours a deep rich golden amber and with a nice size head. Drinking reminds one of a mild dessert wine with a hint of tangerine.

[bottle from beers of europe] This was a few years old, though I cant remember precisely what year. The Aroma is rich and malty. The aroma has notes of sherry, almonds, toffee and a little background fruit. big smooth palate with some alcohol in the finish.

The myth. Pours clear, vibrant amber with a moderate, crisp, offwhite head. No retention, no lace. Smells sweet and rich just like port. Malty sweetness for sure. Tastes sweet and malty thick, some alcohol flavor, almost a slight scotch, peat, wood type flavor as well. Medium, syrupy body, good carbonation.

From a bottle poured a brown/amber color with a good amount of head. Flavor sweet malty, with a lingering finish.
