Bottle. Very malty smell, a little bit like molasses, moderate alcoholic. A small off-white fizzy head, fast and fully diminishing, a dark red body. Moderate bitter start and finish on the palate, average duration. Heavy alcoholic taste, medium to full body, oily texture and a flat carbonation.

Clear gold with a small, white, quickly diminishing head. Sweet nose with caramel/toffee. Flavor is sweet, nutty, with plum, caramel, and peach. Nice creamy mouthfeel.

Pours out a deep amber color with bubbly/frothy head. Aroma is very seet matl, caramel, alcohol and light fruitiness. Taste is somewhat syrupy but filled with caramel malt, fruit, and alcohol. For 11%abv it was pretty smooth and at $2.99 it was pretty damn smooth.

picked this old bottle up at the local liquor store near my base / sweet, bready, caramel and nuts aroma; deadish appearance, honey-brown color, slightly thickish tan head, decent lacing; sweet, caramel, vinous aftertaste, dulls as it ends; a little sweet, could be cloying, goes down smooth with not much alcohol presence!

Bottle pours a dark amber color with a one inch head that goes away fast. The aroma is of sugar malt. The flavor is or malt, maple syrup, and more malt. The palate is quite syrup like (could have this on pancakes). Overall, this is a real swillin and chillin kind o brew.

bottle. Dark amber. Medium white head, disinegrates into lacing. Malty aroma. Super malty sweet taste, some hops. Slight alcohol burn. Tons better than Anheuser World Select. I love Eisbocks

This stuff rules! I assumed that it would be total crap...I didn’t even know it was 11% until half way through the glass when I was checking out the labels details. Scocker! ....... Poured out a slight off white head, one finger thick that quickly vanished. Only beer remained in my glass and it was a deep deep amber with a bunch of slow rising very large bubbles that stick in place at the top of the viscous brew. The top of the beer almost resembles one that was made of plastic with a bad casting leaving large encased bubbles. The aroma and taste are very similar and both are suprisingly good. 11%? Where? Warm, sweet caramel malts, cognac, sherry, cherry... one of the more interesting brews I’ve had in a long time. You know the alcohol is there but it isn’t all that noticable as it is blended in well - way better than most other strong Euro’s. Thick and syrupy, there is some alcohol bite after all noticable mostly on the aftertaste which is mainly a lingering fruity malt that covers the whole mouth. Highly recommended.
