Mar 14, 2008 Auburn color with tan light head. Bready intensely malty aroma. Sweet syrupy flavor with nice crispy honey flavored finish. High alcohol burning on the back of the tongue.

Nov 20, 2007 Wow. I was blown away by the INTENSE flavor of this one. I’m a big fan of Erdinger hefeweisen and this by comparison is like taking Erdinger an multiplying it by 3x the flavor intensity plus a bit of sugar and a bit more complex flavor. I guess if it came down to it, I can more easily drink large quantities of Erdinger. This is a bit more potent than I’m used to, but I have a feeling that I could get used to this beer really fast. It’s definitely not what I expected after drinking so many lackluster German beers lately.’

Jun 8, 2006 This is a tough one to describe. I have noticed that when you hit the 11% alc mark you can feel the belly warming effect. This pours a beautiful brassy amber color. Faint head. This is a true sipping beer. I liked it.

Mar 31, 2007 Bottle - Dark amber with thick creamy head. Strong aroma of malt, caramel, and alcohol. Flavors of thick sweet malt, molasses, honey, caramel, hint of bitter hops in the finish along with warming alcohol. I really liked the creaminess of it all and haven’t gotten that out of many beers.

Apr 4, 2008 Updated: Oct 11, 2008Better clear your calendar before drinking this one. Very distinct flavor, different from any other beer. Smells wonderful. ured from the bottle into a pint glass. The beer has a nice, healthy aroma featuring some pine and earthy hops, with some dark fruit scents, and a candy malt contrast. it is pretty expensive.

Dec 27, 2009 330 ML bottle in Germany. Correct me if I’m wrong, but didn’t this used to be about 13%? Anyway, it is one of the better beers at being able to handle the high alcohol content. At one time this was the Strongest beer in the world. Times have changed. The original ice beer!

Dec 3, 2008 Pours amber with a medium tan head. Aroma is sweet rich caramel malt. Flavor is big, sweet caramel malt, slightly roasty and nutty, and with a bit of alcohol in there as well. Really good.

Feb 8, 2006 Bottle. Pours a redish brown color with a nice big white head (which fades quickly) that leaves nice glass lacing. Aroma is malty, watery, some notes of raisins and dried rapberries. Flavor is very sweet like candied fruits and whiskey. Mouthfeel is very sticky and has just the right amount of tingle. Alcohol is very well hidden. A tasty beer. I really liked this one. I wonder how why it’s rated so low.
