(GERMANY) Pours a nice amber / orange color with zero head. Has a flowery / alcohol aroma with a lingering fizzy body. The taste is strong, With malty, alcohol flavor and some hints of honey. The finish goes down very warm !!! Plus watch out for the 11% it could knock you for a loop. :)

Looks like polished copper. Cedar chip aroma with a drizzle of homemade maple syrup and a hint of lacquer. Head is an afterthought, lacing a whisper barely heard. Mouth feel is two-dimensional. Starts out with a gingerbread heaviness, caramelized sugar follows. Dried fruit (dates, raisins, figs) set up the backbone. Finishes with a eucalyptus-like astringency.

Pours like the picture. Nose is malt heavy and sweet with raisin, brown sugar, and alcohol. Flavor is similar, a little saltier, heavily sweet and sugary, more alcohol. Medicinal with warmth. Syrupy body, short finish of bread and alcohol. Decent, but a little one sided.

This bottle pours clear red with a thin tan head that mostly disappears. Aroma is caramel sweetness, slight alcohol and sweet fruit. Thick sweet taste with a little alcohol coming through the nose almost making it taste like cough syrup. It has a very rich texture and flavor to it and finishes well. Plus the label tells about the German law Reinheitsgebot but it’s all in German. Good authentic brew.

Small tan head, fades quickly. Clear amber color. Malty, fruity, alcoholly nose. Full bodied, slick mouthfeel. sweet malt flavors. Hints of chocolate and anise with the alc. being fairly evident, warming as it goes down. Finish is sweet and bitter at the same time.

Has the appearance of a rosé or something like a mix of cranberry & white grape juice; essentially no head & little carbonation but interesting look. Aroma is heavy malt with an alcohol sting. Taste is heavy malt as well; sticky sweet and alcoholic. Strong, warming alcohol palate. Good, but I found myself paying too much attention to the alcohol presence while drinking it.

strong beer tasting '04: deep amber, small head. butterscotch, hard candy and alcohol on the nose. flavour starts out nicely with a mix of dried fruit - cherries, raisin, date, cranberry. then goes kind of funky with a pet food kind of taste. not bad overall, though.
