| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 12, 2003 Clear copper body topped by a quickly dissipating tan head. Aroma is alcohol (sherry/rocket fuel), molasses, dough, light peach. Taste is syrupy sweet, alcohol, malty, raisin. Finish is toffee/molasses and medium alcohol burn. Syrupy full body with minimal carbonation. Not a bad beer, but nothing I'm likely to seek out again. Mungo (2474), Southampton, Hampshire, England
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 3, 2006 Bottle. Very noticeable alcohol. Quite rich and sweet . Raisins and woody syrup flavours which somehow manage not to be overly sweet if sipped slowly. DocLock (4648), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 10, 2006 Bottle from Super Saver. Clear copper pour with 1-finger, off-white head. Aroma of big fruit, apricot, peach in heavy syrup, caramel malt. The flavor was caramel malty, with a rich, sweet, and hot palate that got hotter as it warmed. There was also apricot, honey, caramel, and some cognac in the taste. This one wasn’t bad ice cold, but it got really hard to finish as it warmed up. LiamPatrick16 (124), Montgomery, New York, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 15/20 | Jul 12, 2004 alacholic aroma and poured thick as molassis in january bubbles were constantly rising through the thick amber brew. You could definatly taste the 11% alcohol esp at first taste but a sweet flavor after taste ensued, that made the high alcohol content bearable. It sat very thick in my mouth. over all pretty good and enjoyable.

Arômes de malts munich et d’alcool. Saveurs de jus de raisin, d’alcool, de fruits rouges, de caramel. Les arômes embaument carrément la bouche. Houblon de soutien. Très intéressant... | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | May 8, 2006 11.2 oz bottle. Crystal clear orange-brown. Slight off white head. Super pungent sweet malt, cereal like. Some almost barleylike notes. Flavor is candylike maltiness - did I mention malt? Hops are there, but as an afterthought. Full, rich, sturdy body, slightly oily. Good example of an eisbock? No. Good beer? Yes, but seriously, be ready. Hope you like sweet malt. NachlamSie (1644), Tennessee, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 29, 2006 bottle. Pours an amber color with minimal head. The aroma is sweet like caramlized sugar. This brew definitely walks the line of being too sweet, but doesn’t quite become excessive. The caramelly sweetness is thick and sticky. The finishes is semi earthy and brings out slight notes of bark. Pretty straight forward brew here, drinkable enough.
