33 cl. Clear copper-orange with a lasting film of creamy foam. Nose of corn, grass and molasses. Flavor is caramel, grain, hay, peppery wood and cherry liqueur. Near-medium body is smooth, alcohol-dried and chest-warming. Give this one a chance; it gets better the further you delve.

Dec 13, 2009 Sul bicchiere è di un rosso rubino, elegante, con fina schiuma densa e persistente. Al naso spicca il cacao del malto e odore di ciliegia e mirtillo.
Al palato la forte gradazione alcolica si bilancia male con il resto, e la birra appare secca ed è stata sofferta la sua consumazione.

Dec 13, 2009 Bottle. Sweet malt, portwine and alcohol aroma aroma. Clear orangeamber colour with beige head. Sweet spicy flavour with plenty of malt, ripe fruits and except for the carbonation sherry character.

Dec 12, 2009 Rating number 300!! This has a decent dark amber colour and pours with a little bit of head, but not a lot. Plenty of carbonation in the glass. Aroma is grains, sugars, smells quite syrupy and sweet. Taste is quite a strong mix of caramel and malts, very very sweet and hard to drink. I found it quite unappealing actually, and was expecting better.

Dec 10, 2009 Bottle. Pour was a dark rust color, with a finger of head. I could smell the booze mixed in with a fruit aroma. Taste was of over powering alcohol, after getting past that, taste was of malts and fruit, maybe some caramel.

Nov 25, 2009 Aroma of honey, caramel, bread, slightly winey, with some dark fruit. Huge, caramel, honey flavor with cookies and cake. Sweet and hot. Big, thick palate. Smooth and hot. A fun beer when taken in moderation. Better with some age.

reddish orange pour with a thin off white head.
the nose is really grainy and sweet... other notes of orange, flowers and alcohol stingy are kicking around as well.
the palate is thick though just shy of cloying... i guess that helps keep the alcohol under control... flavors noted of perfume, orange, grapefruit, caramel, loads of grainy sweetness, raisins and perhaps some nutty chocolate with a surprisingly dry finish.
thick, syrupy mouth feel makes it hard for me to finish a bottle alone...7/3/7/2.5/15/3.45

Nov 21, 2009 Aroma of roasted toffee, ripe apple and caramel. Appearance is reddish gold with off white head. Flavor is pretty boozy, with some caramel and toffee flavors, perhaps raisins as well. Palate is aggressively lively and nearly painful, but also bubbly. A demanding beer meant to be consumed on it’s own.

Nov 21, 2009 ( 330ml bottle thanks to bu11zeye) Pours clear amber with good lacing. Nose of alcohol, wheat. Taste some alcohol, chocolate, lightly sweet toasted grains. Finishes a little syrupy, but a very good beer.
