Normal scent, without particular notes. Round and light taste. Enough simple but altogether appreciable. Inferior but to the other Marzen tried. Ungstrup (15430), Frederiksberg, Denmark

The flavor is of straws, hops, and grain. A very standard pilsener to me - even though it is classified as a Märzen. pivo (2537), Germany

Deep orangy-gold color and an OK head, but it didn’t stick around as long as would have liked. Nutty tones in the flavor and light metallic dry finish that is not very bitter. Clean palette, great balance and a full mouth feel. Wonderful, classy brew. Sophisticated, but not complex. YogiBeera (2437), Hamburg, Germany
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Sep 3, 2002 Malt, barn, sweet grainy aroma. Light orange body with a little diminishing head. Malty, medium bitter finish, that goes by quick. Flat carbonation. Not as good as the Kulmbacher Festwoche for this occasion.
