| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Aug 2, 2006 Pours clear golden with lively fizzy carbonation and a respectable white head. Aroma is clean and smooth with creamy-like malt and a light touch of hops. The taste is not as good as the aroma. Thin body with somehow awkward carbonation - it is fizzy, but with the funk of the beer just comes across strange. Starts off skunky malt, astringent and metallic. The finish brings in some spicy hops which may have been okay in another beer, but it wasn’t enough to save this. donvitozou (141), memphis, Tennessee, USA

| 1.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Jul 3, 2006 Can from Auchan, Calais. Oh dear, does this mean that I am getting desperate for ratings? Ugly pukey lager aroma. Not much flavour in mouth. Some bitterness on end. If you drink it quickly enough, it doesn’t turn out to be too bad. Anyway, it did make me bowl better. | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | May 17, 2006 Bottled with a classier label. Clear yellow pour with big creamy, frothy, lacing white head. Mighty fine crown. Big whiff of grassy hops and maltiness. Thin and borderline watery, touch of bread but not at the level of a Helles. Doesn’t have a big bite, more maltiness than bitterness, though both linger in the grassy aftertaste. Simple but enormously drinkable. leaparsons (4749), Leicester, Leicestershire, England
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | May 11, 2006 Bottle. Golden with a white head. Aromas are biscuit malts with slightly salty butter and citrus. Flavours are sweet grain, corn, yeast and lemon. Buttery with metaliic notes towards the finish. Dry and hoppy on the finish. Nothing special. jtw (943), farmington, Michigan, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | May 9, 2006 12 oz bottle, and it stinks almost like heineken. lager-like yeasty aroma of skunk and hops, and even an inappropriate note of alcohol shows up. tangy malt and hops balance, and an even sourish finish. no thanks; i’ll go with any other of the innumerable good german pilseners. i hope my sample was not fresh. beermatrix (1497), Twin Cities, Minnesota, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | May 6, 2006 Untarnished pale lemon yellow with steady bubbles rising within. Soft, firm, white head about a finger high rests atop for a stint before slipping into the realm of a heavy skim and collar always present. Thin stringy lacing with a few thicker patches stick across the glass.
Aroma is mild yet fairly active with a paled lemon grass tint spiked with a high ended grassyness, floured breads(sourdoughy), and a breeze of herbs behind it.
Taste is firm and smooth with a nice stand of lightly bready malts dashed with partially drying flour hints and lemon spritzed. Nice herbal grassyness takes every other area inbetween and begins to surge more leafyness and a zippier/peppered Saaz hop profile as the glass empties.
Feel is smooth and soft with a firm holding carbonation and zippy little bready, lemon twisted tang. The Saaz hops are quite evident the whole way through and become more active and lengthy as it goes adding a light herbal dryness to some of the softer bread tones underneath.
One very nice Pils. I’m actually quite taken with it and will venture the opportunity to grab this from the shelf more often when in the mood for a good Pilsner. shrubber85 (2934), Wallhalben, Germany
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Apr 26, 2006 Bottle. Slightly sour corn-barley malt aroma. Golden yellow color with moderate head. Very dry sour grainy malt flavor. Tastes more like a pale lager (export) than a German pilsener. Not representative of the style - may be too old.
