Aroma is matly and buttery with a splash of honey and grass. Taste brings outs buttered and honey covered biscuits, light lemon, bit of hay, and chewy malts. The honey and biscuits really comes out of this the more I drink it. Body is medium with moderate carbonation feel and light bitterness remaining. Finishes with more honey, buttery biscuits, light hay, bit of lemon zest and Euro hops. Nice crisp finish as well. Very nice stuff! Eyedrinkale (3209), Astoria, New York, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 6, 2005 Bottle poured into EKU Pilsner glass. Fluffy white head sits on top of clear yellow liquid. Aroma is mostly hay. Taste has some corn but theres a nice sweet maltiness to it. Nice dry hop taste and stinging bite. Nice and balanced. Drink it before it warms up too much. roder60 (1030), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Oct 22, 2005 Pours a lovely crisp clean yellow with tons of carbonation and a huge amount of froathy white head. Aroma of sweet malts, grass, hay, and slight piney hops. Flavor is milder than expected, rather malty and sweet, little hop flavor. Overall, expectation is greater than the result. dwyerpg (2545), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA

| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Oct 11, 2005 I drank this and the Kulmbacher Monschoff pilsner back-to-back. Good idea or bad idea? To be honest, I couldn’t tell the difference. If you want to know what I think, just check out the review I gave to the other one. mdi (573), Nebraska, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 30, 2005 12oz bottle. Nice white head with some lace...happy little bubbles...a bit more perfumey hops aroma than the Kulmbacher...with a bit of hay involved. Seems dry to me, and quite crisp...I do prefer the Kulmbacher to this one...but that’s about splitting hairs. shadey (1501), Rochester, New York, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Sep 25, 2005 Clean gold color with creamy white head of tiny tight bubbles. Very attractive aroma of hops and malt. Nice lacing. Upfront malt that is sweet and honey. Very easy to drink. Clean hop finish. Great stuff. 5000 (2600), Hardened Liver, Washington, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 19, 2005 Bottle: Pale yellow, very pale and very clear, moderate white foamy head, fairly decent lacing, lively carbonation.   Grassy aroma, slightly sweet and malty.   Musty cardboard on the tongue, semi-sweet grass takes a backseat.   Moderate body, medium mouthfeel.   Not as crisp or clean on the finish as I would have liked, but the musty cardboard is nearly gone.   Decent, but nothing very interesting.
