Commercial Description:
A truly great Pils, a little maltier and more ‘Bavarian’ than the rest. The 6-packs are brand new for the American market.

Crystal clear golden color, white head. Pretty straightforward German pils, malty up front with a milder grassy bitter finish. Light bodied, pretty refreshing. Not bad.

Bottled. Clear yellow colour, big white head, which disappears quickly. Sweet malty and a bit hoppy aroma. Bitter flavour with a bit sweetish bitter finish. Hayish flavour in finish too, not much aftertaste except for hoppy hay. Very watery.

Germany, Nov 2003. Head is initially average sized, frothy, white, mostly diminishing. Body is clear medium yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted bread), moderately hoppy (herbs). Flavor is moderately sweet, moderately bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, heavily bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Fairly good pils, but perhaps a bit unbalanced.

Golden yellow with a white head. Aroma is sweet and floral. A good amount of residual sweetness in this one, which perhaps is the reason this lacks the crisp hoppy finish of a great pilsener.

Standard lager color, medium white head. Strongly hoppy, mildly floral and sweet aroma. Medium body. Flavor starts with sweet malty tones, ends with nicely crispy, mildly bitter and hopped flavor. Still some sweetness lasts in aftertaste too. Good average pilsner, nothing special

Clear bright sparkling gold body topped by a large fluffy pure whie head. The aroma is medium rotting grass clippings, light cereal, light fruity sweetness. The flavor is crisp lightly sweet, grassy and light floral. Medium body with a watery feel. Carbonation is assertive. Quaffable and ultimately forgettable.

Not a bad pilsener, but nothing exceptional. Nice golden color, but lacking in a sustained head and lively beading. The aroma is sweet and grassy. It’s a bit too heavy in the mouth and carries too sweet of a taste, lacking somewhat in the snappy hopping that one anticipates in a pils.
