| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Oct 24, 2004 Extremely clear and light golden with a foamy white head that seems to last pretty well (poured vigorously). Light and watery palate dampens the good times, though. Malt flavors are a little husky and bready (multigrained), but overall they're rather disappointing. Hops are grassy and spicy; mildly bitter. Hints of corn and skunk in the background. Drinkable, but somewhat yawn-inducing. SpringsLicker (2043), Tennessee, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 10, 2004 Good clear yellow with a big head of tight bubbles. Some clean hops and malt in the aroma. Smooth, light, refreshing, fairly typical German Pils. Not bad, but not the best either. SilkTork (4174), Rochester, Kent, England

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 6, 2004 Traditional Pils… Not my bag!
This one was too hoppy, and with a slight skunky-ness. Very grassy.. yet traditional.. I just don’t care for the formaldehyde characteristic of the pilsner malt; it’s just kind of shocking and rank. Quite dry in the finish…some toasty-ness. Overall, the EKU is more on the drinkable side for me! wilkie (1191), Raleigh, North Carolina, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 4, 2004 Bottle. GOlden, pale color. Thin, white head, but has nice lacing. Aroma is fresh, grainy and light malt with tinge of hop. Flavor is light, smooth, and has hops in the middle but not all that bitter. Fairly good pilsener. DougShoemaker (2856), Toronto, Canada
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 26, 2004 Floral hoppy aroma, some grassiness too. Light yellow, pours a large frothy white head, some nice lace. Hops flavour upfront, some fine malt backs this one. Well balanced, light bodied, dutifully bitter, dry hops finish. Lovely example! thegreenrooster (1841), St.louis, Missouri, USA
