Commercial Description:
A truly great Pils, a little maltier and more ‘Bavarian’ than the rest. The 6-packs are brand new for the American market.

Updated bottle design. Poured with a medium head, is brigth gold and has lots of small bubbles. The aroma is a slight skunk with dirt and corn. The taste is nice and refreshing. It has corn flakes, flour and a metallic finish. I know this wasn’t a glowing description, but this is a decent pils.

Medium gold color with a moderate head, fair lacing and a grassy spicy hop aroma. Light bodied with a dry malty flavor, a hint of lemon and a pretty good bitterness in the finish.

Bottle: Pale yellow with a quickly disappearing foamy head. Taste is quite flat and watery and slightly bitter. Not bad but not great either.

Pours a pale yellow color with a small, foamy head. Aroma has some muddled hops and grain. Pretty carbonated. It tastes very much like raw grains instead of malted barley. Kind of "dirty" taste to it as well; it’s more earthy and hazy tasting (if that’s possible) than I’d like. I wouldn’t search it out again.

Rather slight aroma, some basic light grainy maltiness and faintly spicy, grassy hop. Pale golden color, very clear and sparkling with a fluffy head. Pale malt start, the middle very slightly sweet and the finish is dry and lightly bitter, very crisp indeed. Body is of course light, mouthfeel is well-carbonated. Has more flavor than some of the more well-known export German Pilsners.

AKA Bitburger. That’s what I thought as I drank this. Good, clean, refreshing, well balanced pilsner.

Very clean, light malt and hop flavors, medium bitterness. Dry finish. Not bad, good balance, just not flavorful enough.
