Commercial Description:
A truly great Pils, a little maltier and more ‘Bavarian’ than the rest. The 6-packs are brand new for the American market.

Pale lager with a dry sweetish aroma, and a dry malty flavour. Overall a plain pilsner.

Slightly above average german pilsener. Rather unusual maly/honey aroma. Fairly bitter, slightly sour? My sample went a bit cardboard, must find a fresher sample.

This was a really good beer! Nice clear gold color to it with a good head. Has a typical pilsner aroma belying a sweet taste. Goes down very smooth, nice creamy mouthfeel. Quite nice!!

A well made German style pilsner. Crisp with a slight hop bite and the roundness of the German Style

Perhaps its just that it's my first beer du jour, but this was a pleasant surprise. Aroma was a nice granola bar affair -- oats and whole grains and muted whiffs of honey or syrup. Nice label (mine is dark blue with a white castle on a hilltop, not like the one pictured,) good bottle. Tangy initial flavors, followed by an edgy continental hop body, followed by a bitter grainy finish. I liked this brew.

What's up with the skunky, musky aroma coming out of a brown bottle, was my first question. The taste fortunately was not related to the aroma. The taste was actually quite crisp and refreshing. Not alot of flavor, but very cooling and easy to drink.

Skunky aroma from a brown bottle. Further proof of my assertion that skunkiness is not related to clear bottles. I like the EKU 28 but this beer is not very good.

Rerate, 8-9-07, 50cl can, Leffe goblet, bbe 1.5.08. Thin, straw hue with a short, fizzy white head. Light bready pils malt with some light grassy hops. Traces of diacetyl. Lightly sweet throughout with virtually no acidity and a light hop bitterness in the finish. Watery texture, medium to light bodied, lively carbonation. Boring, flat in the mouth.

33 cL bottle, lager glass, 47 F. Bread malt (L); earthy, spicey hops (M). Great pils aroma. Some light honey notes. Billowing, creamy, white head is slowly subsiding and sits on a heavily carbonated golden body. Lightly sweet flavor becomes a moderately bitter, lightly astringent finish. Medium light body, watery texture, fizzy carbonation. The bottom line is: tisk, tisk; naughty astringency.
