| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 25, 2008 This is a medium-priced average looking beer. It has a light color and produces a nice head.
It feels very clean and crisp in the mouth and has just a hint of bitter. This beer goes very well with a late night salty snack.
The first bottle I had won’t be the last. thill25 (218), Orlando, Florida, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Aug 18, 2008 330-ml bottl.. Pours golden-yellow w/ a two-finger fluffy, white head. Considerable amounts of soapy drizzle was left down the side of the glass... Aromas of grass, grains, and a slight citrus (lemon rind). The flavor is a mix of the above, with the sweet malts dominating the front and the bitter hops balancing out the finish. The beer was light to medium bodied with moderate carbonation. It was very refreshing and cleansing on the palate. Very enjoyable! DrDavid (957), Johnson, Vermont, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Aug 15, 2008 (Bottle). Aroma is very slightly malty. Color an extremely light yellow/gold. White head, moderately lasting. Watery, uninteresting flavor, almost no bitterness. Not much better than below par macro lagers. popephred (193), Plainfield, Illinois, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Aug 14, 2008 Poured from the bottle into a pint glass. Pour produced a yellow-golden body topped by a medium head of white foam, which was densely packed and slowly diminished.
Aroma was light grain and a bit hard to coax out. initial flavor is bitter, with a moderate sweetness following. The progression from bitter to sweet is interesting an unexpected. The palate is slightly astringent, though not wholly unpleasant. I was mistakenly given this beer by a neighbor, who thought it was one of mine left over from a party. I don’t know where it came from, but I don’t regret the mistake of free beer. DarkElf (2681), La Jolla, California, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 12, 2008 01-Jul-08 (330-ml bottle: Purchased 12-May-08 for $2.49 at Hollingshead Deli in Orange, CA) Pours a crystal-clear golden-yellow body, capped by half an inch of fluffy, white head. As the head settles to a thin layer, aromas of grassy hops, grainy malts, and a light cheesiness become more apparent, and these aromas are reiterated on the palate. The graininess is pleasant and mildly sweet, the classic Noble hops are mildly bitter, and a hint of smoke emerges in the finish. Light-medium in body with smooth carbonation, the beer is clean, refreshing and gently crisp on the palate. After consuming most of the beer, three separate rings of intricately patterned lace, each thicker that the one above it, decorate the glass. It may not be the greatest German pilsener, but it’s more than adequate to be satisfying.
