Mar 10, 2008 Poured a hazy brown color with a beige head. The aroma is of tart coffee, plums, butterscotch and alcohol. The flavor is tart with plums, figs and cola.

Mar 2, 2008 Bottle shared by maxxdaddy. Brown cloudy appearance. Aroma is loaded with cold coffee, dark toasted grain and a bit of chocolate. Strange buttery/butterscotch aroma that comes and goes depending on whether you swirl or not. Flavour is slightly sour but it has an unusual sweetness with lots of coffeeish character. A bit of brown sugar and molasses, but again, a vegetal cold coffee flavour. It’s not great, but it’s a hell of a lot better than it’s paler brother.

Mar 1, 2008 Super toasty aroma, like really toast, more than any beer I’ve other had. When you swirl this you get a bit of sourness that probably shouldn’t be there. An odd sweetness/sourness in the flavor, behind some espresso and more toast. A little off and odd, though the aroma is quite good. Could be better if it wasn’t likely infected.

Dec 14, 2007 Bottle in Buenos Aires in December 2007. A dark brown to black color with a brown head. A wonderfully robust aroma with bitter chocolate, molasseses, and caramel. Sweet bitter chocolate flavors with a smooth and rich body and a great finish.

Nov 8, 2007 Draught at El Regional in Sam Martin los de Andes, a cloudy dark brown with a large beige head. A strong malty aroma with plenty of alcohol. An earthy malt flavour at first, then a sweeter alcohol with berry notes. The finish is more sour. Very good.

Pours a black color with a thin beige head that rapidly disipates. Aroma is caramelly and buttery. Taste is buttery, chalky, rahter sweet and very slightly acid. Mouthfeel is medium to thin.

Jun 10, 2006 Deep black with a thick moka head, Chocolate and figs in aroma, with light roasted coffee beans notes. Sweet chocolate taste, light coffee, liight alcohol warmth, medium bodied, Excellent with the Argentine Edam. Bought at Todo, Bariloche, 4.59$AR. May 2006.

Sep 9, 2005 Sweet roasted aroma. Very rich roasted malts, chocolate and coffee. A little smoky as well. Light hop bitterness, but mainly sweet syrupy flavor and texture.
