AllAboutStout (451), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Aug 19, 2008 Bottle thanks to golubj.
Pours golden in color with about two inches of head. Smell is very nice citrus and piney, grassy hops. Taste is more of the citrusy and piney hops, however there is something at the very end of each sip that just isn’t fitting. A very dominant off flavor at the finish. Everything up until that point is very good however. ucusty (914), Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA Aug 17, 2008 Thanks to golubj for the bottle! Hazy copper pour with fluffy off-white head and spotty lace. Citric aroma reminiscent of cascade hops. Loads of grapefruit. Big resin bitter finish. Very Nice! AgentSteve (736), Livermore, California, USA Aug 14, 2008 Pours copper with off white head. Vegital nose with some cheese in the flavor. I may have had a bad bottle so I need to find this again. golubj (963), Redwood City, California, USA Aug 7, 2008 Bottle. Pours dark orange / amber with a small amount of white head. Nice orangy fresh citrus hop aroma, some hop resins come through also. Solid malt presence in the flavor with light citrus and substantial pine / resinous hop bite. The resin lingers, in almost a bad way, and this might actually be the most bitter regular IPA that I have had. The finish is almost like biting into an orange rind. Taverner (432), San Ramon, California, USA Jul 1, 2008 Pours golden with spotty yeast flakes. White, receding head. Floral and piney aroma, with lots of fruit notes. Nose is honey and hops. Pretty decent IPA. Has bite, hits floral notes, nectar like flavor that eludes many IPA’s.
