| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 24, 2006 12oz bottle. Poured a light to medium golden color with a huge sized white head. Aromas of floral, caramel, lemons, biscuit and had a fruitiness to it. Tastes of biscuit, citrus, and a lighter fruitiness. Thinner body. hopscotch (5549), Vero Beach, Florida, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Oct 27, 2006 Bottle... Cloudy light golden ale with a small, creamy, off-white head. The nose is earthy and full of citrusy, piney hops. Slightly oxidized. Great balance, flavor wise. A whisper of pungency from the oxidation/infection; otherwise, a nice marriage of mild to moderate biscuity malt and a modestly bitter, crisp hop bite. Light to medium-bodied and fizzy. Short, crisp, fairly clean finish. Kudos to Monger for providing this one! CaptainCougar (5538), Rockville, Maryland, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Aug 19, 2007 Pours a slightly rich golden with a frothy, clingy-lacing white head. Aroma of earthy grassy green English hops and some faint pale malt. Starts with decent grainy malty body and some soapy piny English hop character toward a mildly bitter floral finish. Fairly true to style, but I’m not a big fan of the hop profile. Cletus (5060), Connecticut, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 11, 2006 Bottle courtesy of Irishboy. Pours gold with a thin white head. Smells malty with some underlying nuttiness and cherries. Tastes malty with some nice tea like hops and lemony hints. Mouthfeel is full bodied and the finish is slightly earthy. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 15, 2003 Hazy golden/amber with an off white head. Light sweet grapefruit aroma with a hint of spiciness. Spicy throughout the quaff. Starts with a light clove like sweetness and finishes with a biting cinnamon kick. Malt seem to be lost, perhaps a bit to cool... Upon warming, some dry malt come out and add a dry rye bread flavor in the finish but dn't add to the overall experience. Much to biting for an English Pale. DocLock (4648), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 17, 2007 Bottle from beeronthewall. Hazy dark straw pour with 1-finger splotchy off-white head and some orange hues seeping through. The aroma is caramel malty, crisp, with hops, pineapple, black pepper, orange marmalade. Tastes very hoppy, on the dry side, citric, crisp. Almost mouth-puckeringly hoppy and citric and perhaps lacking a bit of malt in the bill, but without a doubt, this is one of the most, if not the most, hoppy and citric golden ales I have yet quaffed, and I enjoyed it a great deal. muzzlehatch (4427), Burlington, Vermont, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 2, 2005 12 oz bottle, from Brennan’s in Brookfield, WI. Smooth, hazy gold, continuous small bubble action, smallish creamy-smooth head that dies quickly to a lasting thin coating & ring...slightly nutty and woody nose at the front, overtaken by mild, dried-orange citrusy hoppiness...smooth and creamy in the body, orange and lemonpeel and a light spiciness, some woody notes towards the finish and a touch of rye perhaps...lovely full body, quite easy to drink, clean and perfectly bitter at the finish...bet this would be just terrific on cask.
