I never heard of this brewery before, and I’m impressed. Breesia says it’s a goldish color. Smells like honey. Bready. Nice malt aroma a grood amount of hops as well. wonderful refreshing citrus finish. joet (1709), Fulton, California, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 17, 2002 Lots of hops in the nose fanning out over a light medium body. The malt is represented by some clear cookie flavors, faint butterscotch. A great lager replacement for weak palates or when you want something with heavier and/or spicy food. nuplastikk (1214), Madison, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 29, 2009 12oz bottle. Murky orange-brown. Mild, dry, soapy aroma. Sandy and toasty, with some light sweet malt and non-aggressive hops. There is some English flavor in there, fruity with a touch of that fining taste, though I would doubt they are used. Pretty good actually, I really enjoyed the medium bodied mouthfeel, not thin and watery some other examples. stephen (308), California, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 7, 2003 More of a pale than a golden. Mild bitterness with some floral and citrus character in the nose and flavor. Clean finish. Sampled at the brewery a little too cold. DocLock (4648), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 17, 2007 Bottle from beeronthewall. Hazy dark straw pour with 1-finger splotchy off-white head and some orange hues seeping through. The aroma is caramel malty, crisp, with hops, pineapple, black pepper, orange marmalade. Tastes very hoppy, on the dry side, citric, crisp. Almost mouth-puckeringly hoppy and citric and perhaps lacking a bit of malt in the bill, but without a doubt, this is one of the most, if not the most, hoppy and citric golden ales I have yet quaffed, and I enjoyed it a great deal. jpm30 (1588), East Central, Georgia, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 4, 2006 From a 12 oz. bottle with no freshness date.
Poured a hazy golden hued orange with a foamy, fluffy white head that settled into a thin bubbly, sudsy lacing, minimal amount of ringed sticking.
Aromas of minerals, fruity yeast, honey biscuits and floral hops.
Good even carbonation and a crisp, creamy smooth medium-light bodied mouthfeel.
Tastes of fruity yeast, honey and biscuity malts, citric hops with a light floral leafiness in the bitterness, and a dry grainy, yeasty, leafy finish.
Easy smooth drinkability, an nice example of an English Pale Ale.
