hopdog (5527), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Nov 12, 2005 Poured a medium and slightly hazy golden color with an averaged sized white head. Aromas of lemons, honey and light wheat. Tastes of pretty much the same with the wheat coming through a little stronger. Both the aromas and tastes on the lighter side with the body on the thinner side. CaptainCougar (5379), Rockville, Maryland, USA Aug 19, 2007 Pours a transparent pale golden with an effervescent, airy, wispy-lacing white head. Aroma of mildly sweet wheat and some sweaty hops and light fruity esters. Body starts with a lot of carbonation, light pale malty sweetness and some mild earthy bittering hops toward a pretty bland, but smooth finish. A standard American wheat. JPDIPSO (4864), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA Jun 13, 2002 Light golden color with a smallish white fluffy head. Aroma and flavors of honey and light apples dominate and take away from the malt and hops. Why gum up the mash, if you aren’t going to use a proper yeast? Skyview (4007), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA Jan 22, 2008 Picked up a single 12-oz bottle at Brennan’s Country Farm Market in Brookfield, Wisconsin. Pours a semi-hazy pale golden brew with a thin white head that quickly dissipates to a fine film and thin white ring. Aroma of light bready malt, some lemon zest and tart citrus hop character. Taste is light to medium bodied, light carbonation with some bready and lemon zest flavors. Finish is slightly tart with a multi-grain malt with wheat character in the after taste. Slightly off balance with more malt than citrus flavors but still drinkable. beerguy101 (3861), Newark, California, USA Jul 20, 2003 Light gold color. Medium head. Aroma is fruity with a touch of malts. A lighter bodied American Wheat beer. Malts are slightly sweet. Hops are mild and a touch spicy. Mild flavor, smooth taste. Very typical American Wheat. Mouthfeel is creamy and full. Finish is dry! Aftertaste is slightly bitter. riversideAK (2648), Shoreline, Washington, USA Oct 18, 2007 Cloudy gold color. Smells like cereal. Flavor is a bitter lemon bite upfron with a lingering wheaties flavor. I could see this being a nice thirst quencher. ChainGangGuy (2523), Kennesaw, Georgia, USA Aug 20, 2007 Appearance: Pours a very light, clear yellow body with a decent white head.
Smell: Faint aroma of lemons, wheat, and even less spicy hops.
Taste: Exeptionally faint toasted wheat flavor with a light sweetness. The finish, if you can really call it that, has only the lightest touch of hops.
Mouthfeel: Light-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: Pretty dull and lackluster even for an American Wheat Ale.
