I keep begging Geno the Brew Master to make more. It’s an IPA, Barley wine caramely, toasty sweetness, complex and balanced. Geno can balance a beer like no one else. Trust me this beer is perfect! But it will probably never be available again. bleeng (597), Spring near Beersel, Texas, USA

Taste is complex-sticky, boozy, spicy, sharp, peppery, hoppy. Overall a nice beer but not what I’d say is a double IPA. More of an old/strong ale. Nice beer that has held up well. Poured a muddy brown with a small bubbly head. Aroma is a touch of sour with wood, molasses, caramel and musty hops. Flavor is spicy (nutmeg and pepper) with floral hops and a smokey note as well. Palate is sweet and tangy with a flavorful finish...some heat. Well made and a good fall beer, but certainly not what I expect in a DIPA. MaltOMeal (652), Land of Sugar, Texas, USA

| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | May 26, 2004 On tap @ Barclay’s--Rockridge. Deep amber body with medium tan head. Enough aroma hops to clear your sinuses. Flavor matched the nose with a rich sweetness well complemented by fruity spicy hops. Nice bitterness throughout. Some alcohol presence in the finish, but certainly not enough to give away the 10.5% ABV. No wonder they serve this in half pints. I hope that I can get some more of this. nja (17), San Francisco, California, USA
