beerguy101 (3544), Newark, California, USA Sep 24, 2008 Sampled 9/24/08. This spiced ale pours a medium orange gold color from a 22oz bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is ginger, cinnamon and some tea. A medium bodied spiced ale. The malts are fruity and sweet. The hops are floral and earthy. Nice carbonation. Lots of ginger, cinnamon and clove( ?) flavors. Maybe a little too over the top with the spices, but I am assuming that they were trying to mimic a chai tea. It does have that kind of feel to it. Drinking a 220z bottle of this might be a bit of a chore, there is way too much cinnamon and ginger in this one for my liking. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly sweet with a ginger aftertaste

Hazy ripe apricot flesh color with a decent white head. Spicey, almost gingery, aroma. Medium body with creamy carbonation. Flavor is medium ginger with some malt going with it. Finishes dry and a bit astringent. Ginger and fruit notes. Love ginger.
