yemenmocha (344), Glendale, Arizona, USA Oct 20, 2009 Enjoyed on tap at new Tempe brewpub location. Poured a hazy golden color, perhaps very light amber. Thin white head on top. Tea aromas with light citrus were present on the nose. Palate offered a pleasant candied malt like component with modest amount of hops in for balance. Brewpub literature indicates this "IPA" has the lowest IBU’s of any beer on tap. keithk (8), ny, New York, USA does not count Sep 22, 2009 Not interesting in any way. Not much hoppy aroma, not much flavoring hops either. When I order an IPA it’s because I want to smell and taste the hops, not get left drinking a rather undistinguished ale. Sparky27 (1559), Phoenix, Arizona, USA Jul 10, 2009 Bottle. Pours a cloudy amber with minimal head. The nose is malt, iced tea and faint hops. The taste is caramel malt and light pine hops. Medium fairly flat body. Meh. Not so good. rustychiles (997), Mesa, Arizona, USA Jul 1, 2009 Pours a caramel color with a small bubbly ring for a head. Aroma is malt, caramel, faded hops, almost barley wine like. Flavor is caramel, faded hops, sugars, lack of carbonation makes this even more one dimensional. Biscuit bready notes in the finish along with caramel and faded bitter hops. Odd brew, more carbonation would have helped this immensely but it’s still pretty interesting. mcbackus (725), Merritt Island, Florida, USA Apr 23, 2008 bottle pours a dirty caramel colour with littel to no head. aroma is very weak of sweet caramel no hops and an almost dirty smell. flavour is a weak bitter and a sweet malt again a dirty flavour to this not very good at all. Gregis (1132), Shawnee, Kansas, USA Mar 20, 2008 Pours a cloudy dirty orange with a creamy, off-white head that diminishes fairly quickly to a thin skin. The nose is pretty nice: a big hit of piny and citric hops paired with a bready/biscuity malt note. It smells like a well-hopped APA with an ESB malt bill. Light to medium-bodied and slick with soft carbonation and a moderately bitter and toasty finish. Like the nose, this one tastes like a hybrid of an ESB and a hoppy APA. Those are two styles that I enjoy, and the result is a uniquely tasty and very drinkable beer. I like it. SuperDave70 (1157), Beautiful Sunny Mesa, Arizona, USA Feb 18, 2008 Pours a nice hazy amber with a medium tan head and hints of lacing. Lots of malt, caramel and citrus in the aroma. Flavor is similar, but lighter. Good hoppy bitter finish. Not a great IPA, but very drinkable. wetherel (1565), Encinitas, California, USA Jan 27, 2008 12oz bonus bottle from cbkshubert. Light carbonation. Amber color. Lots of melanoiding malt aroma. Mild hop bitterness. Easy to drink. Nice.
