Objectively speaking: A sweet pale that that tries to do a little of everything.
I like: Fairly bitter and lasting finish. Appealing spicy yeast undertones. Healthy white foam covers the hazy light orange.
I dislike: Lack of focus. A little bit of spice, a little bit of orange, a little bit of hops and a lot of sweetness. Not totally balanced and with a bit of grainy sourness which I disliked - fruits and grain husk.

Draft at brewpub. Poured a clear amber with a moderate frothy white head that was mostly lasting and had good lacing. Medium sweet hoppy aroma. Medium body with a thin texture. Good hoppy malt flavor with a smooth small bitter finish of average duration.

Draft at the brewpub: Light golden amber wtih barely an adhesive foam. Lightly bittered, very much in the British style but with an off-putting mustiness. Eh ...

I was really surprised at the drinkability of this Pale. Just the right amount of hops make this a perfect beer to complement your meal or to enjoy at the bar or while playing pool. I wish they bottled this one. Nice amber color and minimal head/lacing. Smooth flavor, great beer.

Rusty gold. Floral fruity aroma with caramel. Straightforward, but a little bland. Medium lightly sweeet and a little fruity. Bittering builds. Finishes out with a woody bitterness. Session weight.

A nice color; orange and red and yellow. A pretty malty beginning leads to a hoppy, dry finish. A pretty solid English Pale Ale.

Sample at the brewpub - Pours a bright amber with a short offwhite head. Aroma is light citrus over caramel malts. Flavor begins with caramel malts, and some toffee notes and finishes with some grassy hops. Palate is light and a touch to the watery side.

July 17-19, 2008: The aroma of Elevator Bear Ass Pale Ale has light cedar and the flavor has a light amount of hops. It has a hazy, deep golden appearance with an off-white crown. Overall this beer is balanced, but somewhat grainy for the style.

Draught sample at The CI in Athens, Ohio during Ohio Brew Week 2008. Rating #27 for this beer.
