Nothing stands out. Neglectable hops fail to balance the sweetness developed. Dull grainy (red grain, red rice) malt profile with strong huskiness and sweet caramel. Toastiness is never considered, feels watery and stale on the palate. One of their less shining beers, that or it was not at its freshest. decaturstevo (1335), decatur, Tennessee, USA Sep 17, 2008 Amber pour with a tan head and lace. Medium malt with a medium light bitter. A bit foamy and thin. Very drinkable but not really special. 1010 (107), Marysville, Ohio, USA Sep 3, 2008 Draft beer as part of the MBA program. Pours a nice red color. Has a strong caramel taste. Great beer. estoppel (1023), Buffalo, New York, USA Aug 1, 2008 Draft at brewpub. Pretty light amber, not really all that red, smallish head, slightly hoppy nose. Very balanced between malt and hops, so that neither really shines. Drinkable.
