| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Apr 9, 2006 Sample at the brewpub - Poured black with a short white head and minimal lacing. Aromas of toasted malts and nuts. Some notes of chocolate come out in the flavor and more of the roasted malts and nut flavor as well. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 25, 2005 Pours inky black with very thin white head. Nose is rather clean with mild smoky overtones. The flavor is sweet, slightly smoky, and tends towards dark fruit. No hops evident but that’s OK for this style BennyTicklez (621), USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 13, 2005 Pours black with no head. Very big sweet malty taste. Nothing else in the beer stands out over the sweetness. Average. MAP (1089), Lakewood, Ohio, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Aug 22, 2004 Not a good porter. It doesnt have a strong enough malt presence, and the ending bitterness falls flat of being a good hop distinction.
