Aroma is nutty with notes of caramel as well. Flavor is mostly caramel and nuts. Body was medium and light on the palate. Seemed to lack the body to round the flavors. dwyerpg (2537), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA

Maybe I’m put off after drinking the dopplebock, but this seems to have the same odd side to it. The flavor is also is rather relaxed and isnt nutty at all. Panzuriel (993), Westerville, Ohio, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 2, 2002 This beer was a very dark amber color. It had a small white head with little lace. The aroma was of malt and slightly of chocolate. The taste was of malt and chocolate. Not a bad brown ale, but a little lighter than I like.

This was like drinking a peanut. Very sweet roasted aroma and nice color. Good lacing. The nutty flavor will really knock your socks off.
