A brown ale with very strong honeyed influences.
I like:
Pleasant hazelnutty undertones, but dominated by very sweet honey.
I dislike:
Rather pale for a brown ale, certainly could not catch any roastiness. Sweet example, very sweet even, to the point that it’s rather hard to drink and the very low carbonation does not help, giving it a syrupy texture despite the generalized thinness. Tastes a bit underfermented. Tmoney99 (4793), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA

Light brown pour with a large off-white head that diminished slowly and had fair lacing. Average sweet honey aroma. Light to medium body. Medium sweet nutty flavor with an average soft finish. This was like drinking a peanut. Very sweet roasted aroma and nice color. Good lacing. The nutty flavor will really knock your socks off. Aurelius (2655), Tallahassee, Florida, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 16, 2006 Iced tea brown. Nice, nice subtle choco-floral aroma. Malted milk, slightly sweet, medium bitter, roasty flavor. Session weight. Wee bit waterin the roast-bitter finish. Quite good. dwyerpg (2553), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 7, 2005 Smells nutty, and is brown. Could be a picture perfect beer for the style - it’s just not my style. Too malty I guess. OhioDad (2491), Hilliard, Ohio, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Apr 9, 2006 Sample at the brewpub - Pours amber which I found slightly odd for a brown ale with a small offwhite head. Aroma is nutty with notes of caramel as well. Flavor is mostly caramel and nuts. Body was medium and light on the palate. Seemed to lack the body to round the flavors. decaturstevo (2010), decatur, Tennessee, USA

I can only coax a bit of nuttiness from the aroma in this bizarre, fluted tasting glass >:( Light-to-mid bodied with an almost satisfying palate. Mild, balanced flavor, but nothing to truly rave about.
