Commercial Description:
Light and spritzy with a faint fruitiness, this traditional German-style wheat beer is a thirst-quenching drink served with a lemon. Try it with a hint of raspberry liqueur.

July 17-19, 2009: Elevator Heifer-Weizen has lemon and light wheat malt in the aroma. It is cloudy, pale yellow, and has no head. The flavor is mostly like any other wheat beer with hints of clove. Okay at best; not quite average.

Draught sample at The CI in Athens, Ohio during Ohio Brew Week 2008. Rating # for this beer.

Pours a cloudy orange with a thin white head served with a lemon. A decent tasting beer, but I’ve had better hefe’s. pint draft

Objectively speaking: Traditional weizen until the lemon wedge arrives.
I like: Highly cerealic profile with well-extracted fresh wheatiness. Refreshing, but very simple. Beautiful cloudy golden appearance with a fluffy white head.
I dislike: Albeint it claims to be a German example with the fermentation by-products this generally includes, this displayed no spiciness at all. Besides the cerealic side, you’d have to dig hard to find much more. Quite sweet on the tongue.

Light hazed yellow pour with white head and lace. Teaberry and corriander aroma. Full clove and corriander with other spices. Nice medium body and carbonation. Very solid for the style.

Draft at brewpub. Hazy yellow body, nice white dense head, clove/banana nose. Nice balance of esters and phenols with some citric hop notes; yeast really dominates in this one.

Pours a cloudy gold with a fluffy white head. Big bannana citrus nose. Lack of carbonation on the palate with almost no flavor. Finish is a very delayed bannana. This was awful.

On tap at brew week in Athens. Cloudy white, with a minimal head. A strong wheat aroma. Very sharp tangy wheat flavor. Just awful.

Pale golden with a slight haze and a white head which haloed quickly. Estery bananas in the aroma are par for the course. Mid-bodied, flat yet a bit creamy. Thinly flavored with green bananas and alcohol. Quite a bit watery as I continue and I end up dissapointed.
