Commercial Description:
Light and spritzy with a faint fruitiness, this traditional German-style wheat beer is a thirst-quenching drink served with a lemon. Try it with a hint of raspberry liqueur.

Objectively speaking: Traditional weizen until the lemon wedge arrives.
I like: Highly cerealic profile with well-extracted fresh wheatiness. Refreshing, but very simple. Beautiful cloudy golden appearance with a fluffy white head.
I dislike: Albeint it claims to be a German example with the fermentation by-products this generally includes, this displayed no spiciness at all. Besides the cerealic side, you’d have to dig hard to find much more. Quite sweet on the tongue.

Draft sampler at the Elevator. Poured a hazy dark amber with an average white head that diminished slowly with fair lacing. Moderate banana and spice aroma. Light body with a smooth texture. Medium wheat banana spice flavor with a solid smooth finish. Good refreshing brew.

Served with a lemon. Pours a murky dark yellow with a thin white head. Light effervescence. Aroma is mostly fruity and very lightly hopped. Light bodied with a tangy fruit flavor, and very carbonated. Finish is sticky sweet. This could be better.

Yeasty, white-lellow. Light banana popsicle aroma. Tangy to tart, lightly sweet, some green fruity. Medium-light body. Lacks character.

Sample at the brewpub - Poured cloudy golden with a short head. Aromas of bannana and light clove with a touch of bubble gum. Flavor is bannana, light clove, a touch of bubblegum and some dough. Palate is light and airy. Not a fantastic hefe, but a pretty quaffable average one.

July 17-19, 2009: Elevator Heifer-Weizen has lemon and light wheat malt in the aroma. It is cloudy, pale yellow, and has no head. The flavor is mostly like any other wheat beer with hints of clove. Okay at best; not quite average.

Draught sample at The CI in Athens, Ohio during Ohio Brew Week 2008. Rating # for this beer.

Light hazed yellow pour with white head and lace. Teaberry and corriander aroma. Full clove and corriander with other spices. Nice medium body and carbonation. Very solid for the style.
