Poured black color with an average fizzy brown head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate roasted coffee and dark chocolate aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium roasted milk chocolate flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration.
Solid drinkable complex beer.

Feb 25, 2009 had as part of the MBA program at the Elevator Brewing Company. Pours a deep black with a tan head. Has a nice cocoa and coffee aroma and taste.
Would definitely go for this one again.

Feb 19, 2009 On tap at Elevator. Pours darkest brown with a big tan head. Malty aroma with fresh coffee and hops. First taste is malt and chocolate, followed by a coffee and hop finish. However, the hop becomes a bit overpowering on subsequent sips and the complexity sort of vanishes. If I rated based on the first couple of sips it would be a home run, but instead it’s just average.
