Nose roasted but sweetly chocolatey, with vanilla and oak aplenty. Virtually pitch and heaped with beige froth. Faint bonfire and coffee smokiness, grain and tobacco. Aftertaste sweet, lingering, mealy and milky, but I like it. Characterful, stouty, schwarzbier-like mild of the kind you could drink by the bucketload all evening without falling over. shoestring (164), larkhall, Scotland Dec 26, 2007 Nice deep dark murky opaque ruby brown. Beige head which disspiates and laces after minute. Malty bready, caramel biscuit aroma. Sticky palate indeed. Nice mild. beervis (214), People’s Republic of Yorkshire, West Yorkshire, England Dec 25, 2007 roasted aroma and flavour with some fruitiness and coffee flavours. actually rather nice - I haven’t had many milds but I enjoyed this one. mabjork (576), Vasa, Finland Aug 13, 2008 Thanx oh6gdx. Hazy brown in color, bubbly beige head, lacings. The aroma is hoppy and almost juniper berry like. The flavor is sweet and malty with a distinct hoppiness.
