Pale nut brown. Ashy aroma. Light bodied, very dry. Fruity and astringent. Mildly roasty with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Salty and very bitter finish. Very flavourful for it's gravity, but not all that interesting. oh6gdx (6460), Vaasa, Finland Aug 28, 2007 Cask@GBBF2007. Deep golden colour, mediumsized beige head. Aroma is wood, slight hayness and some hops. Flavour is caramel, malts, some hops and wood. OK brew, but nothing outstanding. MiP (6337), Flensburg, Germany Sep 9, 2008 Cask at GBBF08. Hazy dark copper colour. Fruity aroma, a little toffee. Rough bitterness in the finish. fonefan (5547), Ulfborg, Denmark Oct 1, 2008 Cask (handpump) @ The Swan Inn, Parson Drove, England PE13.
Clear light to medium amber color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, toffee. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. (310708) harrisoni (5474), Ashford, Kent, England Oct 23, 2006 Cask handpull at Wetherspoons, Folkestone. Attractive chestnut colour with lasting creamy beige head. Some light malt and some earthy hop on the aroma. Not a huge aroma. Bit of malt in mouth, but a bit watery too and lacking in flavour. OK, if too watery
