Sep 20, 2004 Hand pulled at the Bartons Arms, Birmingham. Autumn leaves colour, with no head. Wonderfully balanced: moments of sweet fruit, with a sour tang which holds well into the finish. Honey, spice, lemon. Delicious.

Mar 31, 2008 Cask at The Bell, Banbury, Oxon, 31-03-08 Pours golden with a medium white head, looks very nice! Good honey straight away but there is a nice stinging and surprisingly good bitter bite to this beer, nice hoppiness, and really rather tasty. That’s four very decent beers tonight I’m glad I was able to make the CAMRA meeting.

Jun 4, 2006 Cask (handpump) at the Carlton Arms, Cambridge, May 2006. The commercial description says it all really. A traditional English style bitter with a good balance of dry malt and earthy hop. Nice smooth, easy drinking, mouthfeel. Not an ambitious beer but it does what it does pretty well
