Quite a bit of hops aroma, although this didn’t seem to come through in the flavour. Plenty of toasty malt in the nose as well, along with a citrusy note (also in the flavour) that seems to come from the fermentation, rather than hops. Nice thick tan foam over a very hazy brown; good lacing. Wort-y flavour like drinking right from a fermentor. Transcendent, very pleasant, toasty malt flavour. German hops flavour a bit subdued--just perceptible. Sweet and nutty. The citrusy finish goes well with a sort of "stabilizing" hops bitterness. Medium to full body with moderate carbonation--sweet yet clean finish.
