pivnizub (4007), Porúří, Germany Oct 18, 2008 Bottle (kindly delivered by asheft !):Golden, hazy with a small stable foamy layer; sweet bisquity nose with a distinctive yeasty touch; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied; increasing tartness in the moderate sweet-bitter, almost a bit warming finish. Better than the average german Hausbrauerei-Bier..... cgreb (84), Marburg, Germany Aug 27, 2008 on tap - hazy amber beer with a thick white head. Aroma has a little bit of sweetness. Fresh malty flavour and not very bitter. asheft (1017), Marburg, Germany Nov 17, 2007 Updated: Sep 19, 2008[on tap at brewpub]
Nice caramel-nut aroma behind a curtain of noble hops. Just a touch musty somehow. Hasy/misty amber with a beautiful, lacy white flanel top. Excellent base malt flavour accentuated by caramel/toffee. The flavours that seem to result from fermentation are citrusy like in some British ales. The nutty finish is almost reminiscent of an Altbier. I would like this beer even more if it had a touch more bitterness. Medium body, moderate carbonation, a touch sweet in the finish.
