FROTHINGSLOSH (1560), GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 23, 2008 Sampled on draft at the brewery this beer poured a hazy straw yellow color with a medium sized white head. The aroma was faintly musty and had a touch of rye. The flavor was dry, crisp and a bit musty with a hint of citrus and a yeasty undertone. Lightly bitter. The finish was dryish, musty and long. Interesting.
jehoey (732), Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 20, 2008 Did they have any temperature control for this Kolsch? Aroma is hoppy with lots of yeast by products. herbal and fruity. it wasn’t a bad tasting beer, but was no Kolsch they should just sell this as their blond ale. CharlesDarwin (1442), State College, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 11, 2008 On tap at the brewpub. Lightly grainy sweet nose with a touch of creamy hot cereal and faint grassed. Pours a robust lightly hazed gold with a rim in white. Flavor is rather mild, but a little confused. Softened pilsener malt, joined with a bit of gummy hop grasses, and some faint alcohols. There are a few yeast products that muddle things up, but this is decent enough to enjoy with dinner or session. acrdz (4489), Boulder, Colorado, USA Jun 29, 2008 Draft pint. Gold, clear body, white head, head retention adequate with some lacing. Semi-sweet clean grain nose, light touch of sweetened hay and honey. Flavor much the same, sweetened hay, pils malt and honey, medium body. Simple but nice.
