Malt aroma. Bronze coloured and a little rich on the palate with some alcohol present. Slightly bitter malt finish.

Nov 24, 2007 Herbal nose with a very slight touch of anise. Soft and clean body with a very clean and dry finish.

Oct 27, 2007 Draft at the brewpub. Darkish amber color with an off-white head that barely lasted long enough to reach the table. Caramel aroma. Medium body with near creamy carbonation. Mildly sweet caramel flavor - with a very light touch of smoke. Finish is not dry, and there is only a little bitter. Somehow it seems balanced, though. Good marzen; wife really liked it.
