10 ounce sample tasted at Rubicon’s maibock festival. Roasted, lightly smoky aroma with some mild buttery diacetyl aromas present. Mildly hazy amber body with a small off-yellowish head. Attractive with nice lacing, too. Small, sweet, buttery, diacetyl start. Becomes more grainy and roasted in the middle. Slightly burnt. Finishes with a bit of a nice, crisp hoppiness. Lightly floral mild bitterness. Sweet aftertaste with more of the diacetyl presence.
