I purchased this on sale at Safeway, and I wish I had paid the extra dollar for something else. This ale is fairly non-descript. Good if they’re cold and you don’t have anything else around.

Deep golden color, small white head. Sweet malty aroma. Slightly toasty malt flavors with a tinge of earthen hop character in the finish. Mouthfeel is medium light.

Pale amber beer with a thin off-white head. Sweet caramel malt aroma, no hops. Sweet flavour of caramel and light fruit. Pretty boring stuff.

Dark amberDecent head with some larger bubbles. Very nice carmel malt and hop aroma. Sweet caramel up front and in the finish. Caramel finish builds with a little hop bitterness. Tends a little towards syrupy flavour. Body is ok. As the label advertises probably very good with pizza or spicy food. A little sweet on its own.

Light hazy, amber/rusty color with a light fizzy head & some lacing. The aroma is nutty & boring with notes of caramel & lotion. The flavor is boring, watery, lightly sweet with faint hops & malts. Eh, not horrible for an 8AM beer on the road.

Amber/red... maybe mahogany. Off white head. Some lacing. Caramel in the nose, hops are slighltly spicy. Some citrus. The flavor is mostly caramel with a hint of roast. Some hops, though not much. Watery, finishes off sweetly bitter. I drank it on the way to Portland and the RBSG! (just enought to rate it.... like 1 1/2 oz! so don’t freak out on me)

Rather cheap looking labeling on this beer..I think its brewed for Safeway stores only. 12oz brown bottle. The beer pours a dark amber..with minimal carbonation strings, a good sized off white head made an appearance but sunk fast leaving minimal lace. the aroma was dissapointing rather faint malts..slightly "cheesy". The taste was mainly malty with a little nip of hops near the end..has a long lasting after taste. pretty thin on the palate..but not too bad. I found this pretty bland stuff but easy enough to drink on a warm muggy night.

It is light in color for an amber with little head. The flavor is rather watery and bland. A light maltiness is the only flavor that can be distinguished at all.
