The aroma is light and has minimal hop.
This is a thin beer modest hop taste and little malt. A starter IPA. It his a short aftertaste and modest bitterness. SDbruboy (1832), San Diego, California, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Apr 15, 2005 Bottle. Pours clear and orange with a small off-white head. Aroma is pleasant enough with malty sweetness and a nice hop presence, but it also has what occurred to me as a bit of a lagerish smell to it (adjunct and skunky?). Flavor is okay, good malts up front, but the hop finish is a little harsh and metallic. Light to medium body and brash carbonation. Overall this is a pretty average beer. drismyhero (815), Tacoma, Washington, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 30, 2004 I think this beer has gotten a bad rap. Sure it’s nothing to write home about, but the hops are well chosen, the balance is very good, and the beer is overall just very tasty. smackie (45), St. Augustine, Florida, USA

Drank warm on the drive home from Safeway. Bitterness lasts long enough. Probably hatched from Pyramid’s IPA kettle residue. Both made by same company, so buy which ever is on sale. Better yet, go to New Season’s and get a couple of Stone’s IPA and get as messed up for the same price, beer snobs. I love this beer!!!! presario (3002), Calgary, Alberta, Canada
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 3, 2004 10th rater for this one. Legitimizes the beer. Bottle. Dark yellow. Moderate fluffy white head. Nice hop aroma. A nicely balanced lighter IPA with a touch of sweetness. Medium hop finish with a lingering hop touch on the tongue. Kind of a breakfast IPA. | 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Aug 25, 2004 Bottle, from Bottleworks, ok nose, skunky, though that may have been an actual skunk out my window, Some citrus grapefruit/orange, grassy. Clear orangy/golden color. Ok fluffy white head. Bitter flavors, weak though. Tinny, lemon/grapefruit. Toffee. Thin body, little sticky. Bitter finish. Pretty Ho Hum, not much more to say. | 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Aug 17, 2004 Decent appearing golden beer with a nice egg white head that is retained. Aroma is decently hoppy, sweet, with some grapefruit. Flavor is woefully lacking in hops, has some carmel flavor. Not very good IPA. BückDich (4857), McCall, Idaho, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Jul 6, 2004 nice sticky white head & good lacing. Clear gold color. The aroma is very grassy with fresh hops, expected IPA, the generic version if there ever was one. Dry hopped but no hops in the flavor, some caramel malt but mostly domestic 2-row. Finishes balanced, mild, refreshing. fortunately my amber went MIA in the fridge.
