But for the sake of legalities we’ll presume the name refers to the peak on Mt Rainier. Cloudy amber. Light woody aroma. Low bitterness for style. Woody cascade signature. Some caramel maltiness. Good, but at the light end for an IPA. TPaliga (212), Munster, Indiana, USA

The flavor is somewhat blah with plenty of hop taste and a heavy malt backbone. Definetly not kick-in-the-face bitter. One of my new favorites. Plenty of citrus notes with some floral hints. rekiwi (2), USA does not count | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 9/20 | Jun 15, 2005 Best darned IPA I’ve every tasted. Instead of the over-hopped slug of chemical flavor that reminds me of dishwashing detergent I get from other IPAs, Elkhead’s IPA has a strong, clear hop character that actually enhances the maltiness of the brew. This IPA has me spoiled.
