Quack-Duck (1976), Bodensee, Germany Jun 21, 2008 bottle, Dankeschön ins Ruhrgebiet! Clear golden yelow, hoppy nose. Medium-bodied, pleasantly hoppy with a good malty background. Reminds me of a Czech vycepni pivo. A good Helles with a Bohemian touch. pivnizub (4007), Porúří, Germany Jun 14, 2008 Bottle (purchased at the brasserie): Golden, firm, almost rocky white head, visible carbonation; delicate, but distinctive hoppy nose with faint fruity (apples, lemons) and grainy traces; soft, creamy MF, light to moderate bitter-sweet flavour; mild lemony-hoppy and grainy finish. Pretty franconian Bier..... MoritzF (4019), Ruhrpott, Germany May 19, 2008 (bottle) Clear, pale golden hue with a big and bubbly, slightly cream-coloured foam. Slightly dusty, light-sweet malty nose with herbal and slightly grassy hops. Light-bitter flavour; light bodied and crispy on the tongue. Light malty base, slightly chalky taste with herbal hops from the start; dry and slim but quite bitter and hops-accented finish. Slim but still refreshing tasty, especially in the finish. More Pilsener-like than their Pilsener (19.05.08).
