Jerre (1422), Waregem, Belgium Jun 10, 2007 Bottle, 33 cl. Tatse this yesterday again,
@ Fools G. Dark golden, almost orange color, big white head. Aroma very hoppy, spicy, bit honey ? Medium almost full body. Taste much hoppy, fruity, light sweet,
good in balance with much bitter, little sourness, too. Dry and light spicy aftertaste. Stays really a good beer !
Eructoblaster (1275), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada Nov 27, 2008 Bottle - 330ml. Cloudy blond/orange body with yeasty chunks and a thin white foamy aroma with bready and yeasty hints. Sharp hoppy taste that carries coriander notes. Ends with a robust, long bitter/herbal finish. Well done. Borresteijn (673), Amstelveen, Netherlands Nov 27, 2008 Bottle @ home. Cloudy yellow-orange, creamy white head, lots of particles. A firm gusher. Aroma of yeast, butter and sweet fruits, a little spice. Flavour is butter, sweet fruits, some yeast. Surprisingly lasting bitter finish. Some alcohol. Thick, soft and creamy mouthfeel. corby112 (314), philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Nov 21, 2008 Pours a hazy golden amber color with a white foamy head. Aroma consists of crisp light golden fruit and alcohol presence. Very nice crisp fruit flavors; apple, pear, raisin, banana with pilsner malt and a slight hoppy dry finish. Very good. BeerBelcher (800), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA Oct 24, 2008 Pours a thick hazy dirty blond color with a thick sticky head of tiny bubbles that hangs on forever. There was a lot of sediment in my glass, which was not flattering from an appearance perspective. Aroma is a bit spicy with a bit of sweet malt toffee-ness, but pretty faint. Flavor is effervescent and fruity, but also stale and cardboard-y. I think this beer is fresh - I brought it home from Belgium this week in my wooden leg, so I think this is a flaw. Not really for me.
I wouldn’t really recommend this, although it’s leaving a warm feeling in my chest that I can’t hold against it. daknole (1131), Plantation, Florida, USA Jul 27, 2008 from belgianshop.com...found my notes on the beers that I shared with my neighbor. I will take my own rating scale and translate to the RB scale. Very cloudy goldenish/yellow color. Large head. I smell funk and sweetness. Citrus and some yeast. Flavor is a tad tart, yeasty, sour fruits. Finished creamy. Not bad.
