Ober (204), Best, Netherlands Apr 27, 2008 A hazy orange colored beer, with a big foamy white head. The aroma has some caramel, yeast ans also spices. The taste is fruity and spicey. Fruity bananas, lemon and apples. Spicy notes of pepper and some coriander. There is bitter in a nice way. It has a long after taste. Good balanced beer.
Pwn3d (578), NYC, New York, USA Jun 8, 2008 Swing top bottle. Hued yellow/orange body with fine black-pepper-like sediment, awesome lace work. Musky caramel nose. Medium to thin body houses mellow caramel and yeast tones. Mouth has a a farmhouse funk and had an interesty tartar sauce mellowness to it. No alcoholic notes to speak of. Brewer101 (161), New Jersey, USA Jun 6, 2008 So not a bad beer. Ill tell you off the bat, the strange aftertaste, which seemed a bit skunked, really hurt this beer overall. It was a nice pour, great lacing with a golden orange coloring, good head and nice yeast sediment. the aroma was of caramel and malt. the flavor was mainly caramel, but left that strange aftertaste. not bad, but like i said, held back by the aftertaste. jredmond (583), New Jersey, USA Jun 5, 2008 Bottle. Pours dark orange hazy body with small white head. Aroma is yeast and alcohol. Taste is smooth with caramel malt aftertaste. thornecb (973), Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA Jun 4, 2008 Pours bright gold into a snifter. Bright white head with excellent retention pancakes leaving no lacing. Lemony yeast aromas. Fruity upfront with a very different dry finish. Almost dusty - like some Fantomes and HItachinos... bhensonb (2713), Woodland, California, USA May 27, 2008 Bottle at ’t Brugs Beertje. Hazy amber color with a three finger white head. Interesting floral hop aroma - but it’s rather dark floral. Medium body with coarsely creamy carbonation - then thins a bit. Flavor is herbal/floral hop, pale malt or biscuit. Finishes dry and grassy(?) bitter. Confusing hop profile(to me). Very good, though. It is fantastic.
