Aurelius (2643), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Dec 9, 2006 For my 2000th rating, I’ve chosen the most distinguished of the 40-something brewpub ales and regionals that I’ve had in my trip to Baltimore. I have never consumed a brew in a more convivial establishment, with a more conversant barkeep or clientele. This was the most drinkable of the brews on tap at Ellicott Mills, and technically only in the shadow only of their Redrum Ale. Ah yes, the beer itself -- Foggy, dark honey gold, one finger bone head. An earthy aroma with fruit. Very nice balance. Bitter, lightly sweet, a slight tangy homebrew quality. Good carbonation. Medium body, bitter finish. Some grapefruit, without overloaded west coast hops. A fine golden pale ale.
