decaturstevo (1321), decatur, Tennessee, USA Oct 6, 2008 Lightly hazed orange/amber pour with thick creamy off white head and lace. Rock candy, caramel, medium citrus malt on the nose. Rich thick semi sweet malt with a cloying hop bitter. Thick rich full bodied with good carbonation and a nice medium full bitter. I liked this beer alot.
tupalev (2337), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Oct 25, 2008 Bottle shared with Blankboy and Hogtown Harry, ,courtesy of Blankboy. Nice hop aroma - fruity, fresh,a little mild. Dark orange, small white head. Great taste - hoppy tasty fruit juice, light body. Alcohol not even noticeable. Really enjoyed it. shawn14505 (12), USA Oct 11, 2008 Hmmm.... It smells so wonderful. On the initial taste, it is near perfection. But the aftertaste is, well to be honest, slightly sour. Tastes like a belgian tripel. Maybe its the strain of yeast they used, but this beer is no where near as good as the price suggests. It is like a cross between an american DIPA and a belgian triple/quad. Not terrible, but nowhere near great. jcwattsrugger (4067), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Sep 25, 2008 12oz bottle-pours a rich light tan head that laces and copper color. Aroma is sweet and bitter citrus-lemon zest, some medium malt. Taste is sweet and bitter citrus-lemon zest, secondary medium malt-caramel/slight burnt, some alcohol. Slick/somewhat syrupy mouth feel. Occasional. Thanks decaturstevo for sharing this. blankboy (2676), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Sep 23, 2008 Updated: Oct 19, 2008My bottle (650ml) shared with HogTownHarry & tupalev. Pours a hazy orange-copper with a small diminishing fluffy white head. Aroma of caramel malt, citrus and floral hops, some sweetness and light spices. Flavour’s the same: Caramel malt, citrus and floral hops, light spices and with a touch of alcohol. Medium bodied. Pretty good.
