Jan 14, 2009 On tap at the Ellis Island Casino and Brewpub. Poured a hazy yellow with a two finger white head. The aroma was yeasty, with cloves and lemon present. The flavor was very full of clove. This wasn’t as bad as I might have expected, having tried the light lager, the lager and the amber first.

Jan 4, 2009 Draught at the brewery. My typical response to an Ellis Island Brew, always better than the macro junk most places offer. At least they are attempting something different. Too much citrus in the aroma and flavour for me. Not helped by the GIANT slice of lemon the waitress tucked on the side for me.

Oct 25, 2008 tap at the brewery/casino - Pours cloudy yellow with a thin white head. The mild aroma is of yeast, citrus, and spice. The flavor is heavy on the spice. It’s light and just okay overall. All the in house brews were $1.50 a pint when I was there.

Jun 9, 2008 served on tap at the casino with a lemon wedge which i quickly discarded. pours a hazy light yellow with a dry grainy wheat aroma. not a bad hef.

Nov 1, 2007 19 oct 07, Draft at the Brewery/Casino. Hazy golden, served with a lemon wedge. Obvious Lemon Pledge aroma (from the fruit slice). Lemonade flavor. Bready finish. Light bodied.

Oct 6, 2007 Cloudy greyish yellow, eeesh. Wet hair aroma. Weird overly sweet palate with a faint estery quality but no real flavour of its own. Not good.
