Tap at Blind Tiger. Nice pale malt aroma. A little bit nutty but reasonably clean. Fresh pale malt with low hoppiness. Nothing spectacular, but it’ll do.

Tap at Blind Tiger. Light fruit and watermelon aroma is nice. Full vegetal flavor with some diacetyl -- a recurring theme of the night. Very dull.

Pours a clear, medium orange-amber color. A foamy, off-white head leaves minimal spotting on the glass. Aromas include toast, sweet biscuit, citrus, apples, and mild spices. Flavors basically follow suit, with glazed biscuity malts showing strong. Oranges, orchard fruit, fresh herbs and spices all play a role. Floral hops lend a touch of welcomed bitterness. Medium-plus body, smooth, and slightly sticky. Overall, a nice, fairly refreshing Maibock.

Aroma – Mild hop aroma with some spices in the background.
Appearance – Amber in color, Light head and clear.
Flavor – A malty brew with some good spices and hops working for it.
Palate – Great Mouthfeel, nice texture with a good dry finish.
Overall – This is a very nice Maibock. Has some great flavors and the spices and hops where working very good for this brew.

Sample at the Pike Street location. This brew is a clear orange color with a dense off-white head that dissipates slowly. Thick top ring of lacing with latticework underneath. The aroma is malty with a good amount of citrus, and touches of cereal and grain. Medium-bodied with flavors of citrus and toasted malt primarily, and some hops as well. The finish is citrusy and lasting. Decent all around.

fresh crisp mildly spicy hop aroma, beautiful light gold with a tall reaching creamy head. for a beer of this style, how do you rate the palate higher? it’s not supposed to be complex with much hops on the finish, right? anyway i loved the quick peak of caramel and brown sugar up front which was quickly met with a hop balance and just as quickly disappeared into a clean dry finish. I’d like to try this against other hellers.

draft @ capital hill location - dark orange with big white head; aromas of dank fruit, malts and a little brown sugar; medium body with mild hops mixed in with the sweet malts; dry aftertaste
