Bronze colour. The aroma is lightly spicy, caramelly and rather toasty. Slightly chewy with brown sugar, and again quite a bit of toastiness. A rough, unrefined version.

Tap@Elysian. Quite sticky and malty, bready malts, a little grainy. Also got a hint of beery fruit, i think its rasberry, but definitely got a hint of berries. Besides this, theres not much length, and it was a little bit too sticky, some alcohol noticed in the finish.

Draught Good persistent yellowish head leaving lace; orangey-clear beer. Slight bitterish nose, a bit lactic and caramel malts. Sweet, breadsugar but not bready. Ever so slight caramelly and hopbitterness. Lots of fresh-tasting malts, but not very Germanic. Slick, well bodied, a bit cloying even. Not exactly my favourite from Elysian. Taste a real German one and adapt - or give it another name?

Tap at Blind Tiger. Nice pale malt aroma. A little bit nutty but reasonably clean. Fresh pale malt with low hoppiness. Nothing spectacular, but it’ll do.

(Bottle) Lightly hazed amber color with a Moderate diminishing light beige head. Smells like an amber with a touch of licorice and bacon. Not very lager like. Sweet malty sweet and light earthy smoke and spicy hops. Quite a bit of warming alcohol for a moderate strength brew. More like a strong amber ale. I agree with joet 2 years after the fact.

Bottle: Pours a golden amber color, light tawny. Retentive off-white head and plenty of lacing. Nose of light sweet fruit; kiwi, grape, canteloupe. Some malts and a light citrusy hop character. The flavor is balanced, full bodied and a bit lacking in the tail. A good build up but no concerto. Decent but not worth seeking again. Thanks Andre!

on tap at elysian. strangely custardy aroma, tasted of alcohol, raw sugar, vanilla and a bit tinny in the finish. but i liked it anyway

Medium gold color. Malty and somewhat hoppy. Complex flavor, somewhat oaky with a hint of vanilla. Mouthfeel is full, round and rich. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter
